Our MD Sarah Parsons recently delivered day 2 of UK Government Innovate UK's 2 day workshop for businesses taking part on their Circular Materials and Manufacturing Global Business Innovation Programme with Japan, who will go out to Japan in February. Sarah initially gave a background to Japanese Society, Economy and Business Environment, including information on Japanese management techniques followed by an in depth look at Business Communications & Cross cultural dimensions and Business Etiquette. She finished the session by focussing on mission specific topics such as 'getting interest from your pitch, 'following up with partners', 'getting to the right decision maker' and 'understanding Japanese organisations.' Sarah always brings in a unique mix of academic and business-based content supported with interesting media clips and articles including interactive elements, so that delegates can really understand the Japanese market and how they communicate, before going out there to pitch for business. This is a crucial part of any strategy for doing successful business in Japan, especially a the business environment and communications are so different.
